Betty White is one of the most highly respected women in the Hollywood industry who was given the honorary title of Mayor of Hollywood in 1955. Many of us don’t know that Betty White started her career in the entertainment industry when she was only eight years old on the radio in the soap opera titled ”Empire Builders”.  She is an actress and comedian whose career spans over eight decades. All of her success started following her role in the sitcom Life with Elizabeth. It was regarded as the first sitcom produced by a woman.

Betty has won numerous awards and accolades, including Emmy Awards and a Grammy Award. She was the only actress who had received Emmy in all the categories in 1952. Not only that she has another record of the oldest person to ever host the Saturday Night Show?at the age of 88.Later, she ventured into investment planning and launched her clothing line. Betty is now keeping herself busy with humanitarian work. She has worked with many organizations for animal rights and welfare.
